KJ Parish is an illustrator, book designer, and the author/illustrator of two children's books: A Squiggle Is Just A Squiggle and Ride. She is also the ceramic artist behind Local Venom, illustrating functional art and apparel inspired by the weird and wild beauty of the natural world. She lives in Nashville, TN, with her family, a cat, and a pet corn snake.
