Severed

A creepy poetry collection by Holly Riordan

Exes

Black-and-white illustration of an anatomical heart pierced by a knife, with a butterfly perched on the handle and dark liquid pooling beneath it.

Gasoline

All I ever wanted was for you to
Douse my flames with water
Instead of pouring more gasoline.

Hatred

I wouldn’t hate you this much
Unless I loved you like fire first
So take this bullet as a compliment.

Together

I want to see you
One last time.
Kiss your smile
Hear your crazy
Smell your handsome
As we share a coffee
And say our goodbyes.
But when you aren’t looking
When you’re distracted
By the memories on my shelves
I’ll slip poison in both our cups
So we can choke and spit
Together
Because I’d rather die alongside you
Than live another day without you.

Love

Black-and-white illustration of a severed forearm and hand holding a drooping flower. Back to book options
