How to Use This Book

For those who love it, the Tarot is an immersive and engrossing practice that inspires lifelong learning. While reading your own cards is fascinating, it can also be time-consuming and even confusing. That’s what this book is for: to apply the Tarot in practical ways that are empowering and transformational.

Simply shuffle your favorite deck every morning, pull a single card, then turn to its profile page in this book. Each profile includes a description of the Tarot card, as well as ten prompts to leverage its power. You can try a single prompt or follow several suggestions…it’s totally up to you.

By using the Tarot as a tool for inspired action, you can manifest dreams that sometimes seem delusional. During times of doubt, trust the cards to put you on the path of least resistance. The very fact that you can conceive a wish means you can manifest it. Trust the Tarot to lead you to victory—it’s in the cards!

The Major Arcana

The Fool

The Fool, card 0: a traveler holding a flower and a bundle on a stick stands at a cliff edge, with a small dog at their feet and the sun overhead.

When you pull The Fool, it’s time to take a leap of faith. Venture into the unknown, try something new, or challenge your assumptions. Cast off limiting beliefs and be willing to appear ignorant, awkward, or just plain dumb. Your willingness to be open will attract exciting opportunities. It will also put you in the path of unexpected romantic, financial, and creative opportunities. Ruled by the planet Uranus, The Fool suggests you may be in for a huge surprise today. How you react to this unforeseen event will put you on the path to happiness or despair. When in doubt, affirm, “Everything is always working out for me.”

  • Ask for help. Let yourself be bad at something.
  • Tell a friend the truth.
  • Admit you made a mistake.
  • Rent a metal detector and go treasure hunting.
  • Learn to start a fire with two sticks.
  • Take ice-skating or roller-skating lessons.
  • Start growing your own food.
  • Play strip poker.
  • Approach a stranger for local restaurant recommendations.

The Magician

The Magician, card I: a figure raises a wand beneath an infinity symbol, with a cup, sword, wand and pentacle on a table surrounded by flowers.

The Magician is the card of a master manifester. When this card is pulled, it means you can turn dreams into reality. Sharpen your intellect and assume the mindset of someone who has everything they desire. Remember that if you want something, the Universe will deliver it. Your job is to assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled and persist in that assumption until it manifests. The Magician also represents the planet Mercury, suggesting you will get important news today.

The High Priestess

The High Priestess, card II: a seated crowned figure holds a scroll marked TORA between pillars labeled B and J, with a crescent moon at her feet.

Drawing The High Priestess means you must trust your intuition today. Your subconscious is trying to tell you something important. Slow down and listen to your inner voice. It’s also important to pay attention to signs and symbols, like repeating numbers, white feathers, sudden changes in temperatures, or blinking lights. These auguries could be alerting you to possibilities you wouldn’t otherwise consider. The High Priestess also symbolizes the Moon, suggesting insight and illumination will clear up a confusing matter today.
