Designed by CTRLZAK, this sugar bowl and spoon set is part of Seletti’s CeramiX series. Produced in Tangshan, all of the pieces from this collection are made of fine bone china and feature different versions of this hybrid-style design—a dream for anyone who suffers from mild to severe indecision. The series comments on Europe and China’s longstanding history of cross-fertilization—in countless products, but particularly with ceramics such as porcelain. For many centuries, Europeans have attempted to copy the art of Chinese porcelain—an art that has been an indelible part of Chinese history for a long time. Thus the split images hand painted onto this fine china, bearing traditional Chinese porcelain designs on one side and traditional European porcelain designs on the other.
